Life Update – I’m Employed Full-Time Again (and have been for almost a year)

Justine Let's get personal

It’s been WAY too long since I’ve written a life update. I’ve been meaning to for a while, but every time I think about it I decide it’s not interesting enough. However, today I decided that’s stupid. I don’t really care if it’s boring. So here we go: an update on what I’m doing for work and how I’m doing with my depression.

Work and Scuba Trip: Jakarta and Lembeh, Indonesia (August 2018)

Justine International

Back in August, I was lucky enough to travel to Jakarta, Indonesia for work. Since I’m on an academic-year contract, I was also able to stay for a while after the work was finished. This gave me the opportunity to explore a bit more of the country before the new semester started. Here, I’ll give a quick recap of the trip and more importantly, share some photos!

Scuba Trip: Utila and Roatan, Honduras

Justine International

Back in May, I spent three weeks on Honduras’ Bay Islands. I spent the first 2 weeks becoming a PADI scuba instructor, but after the course and exams were over, I needed a break! Fortunately, I was already in paradise so all I needed to do was get underwater. In this post, I’ll recap my fun dive portion of the trip, which included 1 day of diving in Utila and 3 days of diving in Roatan.

Justine International

For the past year, my goal has been to become a PADI open water scuba instructor (OWSI). Two weeks ago, I completed the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) and Instructor Exam (IE) in Utila, Honduras, and now I’m finally an instructor! In this post, I’ll recap the IDC and IE.
